The singer-songwriter from North Carolina gets back to his roots with his new single release - "Not Finished Yet." Recorded at the famed Sound Emporium studios in Nashville, it's big a departure from the polished sound of his 2016 major label release, "Getting Stronger." Using mostly live tracking methods and minimal production, Hamrick returns to his storytelling best; weaving personal lyrics into a soundscape rich with his musical influences.

I was a younger man, I was a little green

I thought the world was mine, it revolved around me

I learned a lesson then not easy to forget

I cannot turn back time, but I am not finished yet


I am a sunny day, I am a cloudy view

I’ve got a lot to say, I’m onto something new

To do it all again, erasing all regrets

Would be a waste of time, I am not finished yet



Gone are the days of the fortunate few

Wasting away with a beautiful view

Those with a heart should have nothing to do but to love
